It all began in 1965, when the world gathered for the World’s Fair in Munich—and we thought to ourselves:

We’re in! Just a little more creative.

And so the foundation for our trade show construction company was laid—with a pioneering spirit, a wealth of ideas, and the necessary dose of Bavarian pragmatism.

In 1970, the idea grew into a successful company: Messe und Werbung Kurt Scheeser GmbH was founded and quickly established itself as a creative leader in trade show construction and advertising solutions, known for its reliability.

In 1998, a breath of fresh air swept through the company in the form of Timothy Bartley, a young partner who brought a new international perspective to the business. The new name: Messe-Design Scheeser + Bartley GmbH. The mission: Preserve what we have, create something new, and shape the future.

After the senior partner entered well-deserved retirement, Timothy Bartley took over sole management of the company. Since 2025, he has been leading the company into the future under its new name, Messe-Design Standbuilding Bartley GmbH, together with a young, qualified team of specialized project managers—with a clear focus on international expansion, state-of-the-art technologies, and sustainable practices.

Today, we look back with pride on more than five decades of ideas, challenges, and success stories—and at the same time, we look forward with curiosity. That’s because our team combines experience, a passion for design, and genuine organizational skills
